Day 1-2 Your tour departs from London or Ashford by Eurostar to Brussels. Changing platforms it is on to Berlin on the comfortable overnight train. Choose between a two-berth cabin with washbasin or upgrade to a two-berth cabin with en-suite facilities. Transfer to your hotel in Berlin for a night at the 4 star DOMICIL hotel.
Day 3-5 Depart at 0800 for the direct service from Berlin to Krakow. Krakow was the capital of Poland for centuries. In this role it attracted many great scholars and artists from around Europe. Important sites include the Royal Castle of Wawel, St Mary’s gothic Basilica, the old Cloth Hall, the Jewish city of Kazimiera as well as the socialist architecture of the 20th Century. There will be plenty to see and do here. In Krakow you stay at the Sheraton Hotel. |

Day 5-6 Departing Krakow at about noon join the direct service to Warsaw for a mid afternoon arrival. The city now has about 2 million inhabitants so is not too big. With such a chequered history it is only natural to see all of it reflected in the architecture. Visit the restored old medieval town square, or the Lazienki Park which was the summer palace to the royal family. If you are visiting during the warm summer months there will be lots of Chopin concerts outdoors. In the centre of the city is the Palace of Culture and Sciences. This is Poland’s tallest building and was a gift of friendship from the former Soviet Union, you can’t miss it! The distinctive style makes it the centre of attraction in Warsaw. Enjoy your stay at the Sofitel near the railway station.
Day 7-8 Departing Warsaw about 11:30 the direct train takes you to Berlin to connect with the overnight train to Brussels. The Eurostar connection arrives back in London at 09:36. |
