Lille Weekend - 1066 & all that! 3 days |
There is plenty to occupy you from shopping and enjoying the various architectural styles or just wandering along the narrow old streets absorbing the great atmosphere. Why not take the guided city bus tour and find out a bit about the history and life of Lille? You could visit Charles de Gaulle’s birthplace or the cannon museum – or you could be really decadent and spend a day at the gin museum followed by afternoon tea with hand made chocolates!
We have chosen three hotels of differing character. The gracious 4 star Carlton hotel is right beside the old square in the centre of town with a |
touch of the “belle époque”. Or there is the 3 star Hotel des Tours in the quieter old quarter. This hotel is very comfortable and surrounded by many interesting informal restaurants. There is also the 2 star Comfort Hotel Opera near the old square for a more economical stay. We have negotiated special deals at all hotels so the choice is yours. For example a two night stay in a 4 star Carlton starts at £255 per person including Standard Class Eurostar return or £320 First Class return Eurostar. Why not shop at Lille’s festive Christmas Market for different presents this year or visit one of the many weekly markets that are open thoughout the year. |
