Russian Capitals Tour 12 days
Day 1 Early evening departure London Waterloo taking high speed trains changing at Brussels for the modern German sleeper train to Berlin with breakfast. Day 2 Stay one night at the family run 4 star DOMICIL hotel near Berlin Zoo station. Visit the ruins of the Kaiser Wilhelm memorial church, a haunting reminder of the Second World War. Day 3 Board the modern Russian sleeper train to Moscow for the overnight journey in 1st class travelling in luxury cabins (not daily). Day 4 Stay for 1 night at 4 star Novotel Centre Moscow 15 minutes walk from Red Square. Moscow has a fascinating centre around the Kremlin with the colourful domes of St Basil’s cathedral adjoining. Around this area are chaotic streets with charming courtyards and some very expensive shopping! Day 5 Travel by overnight sleeper train to St Petersburg. Day 6-8 Stay for 3 nights at the 4 star boutique hotel Casa Leto, or at the 5 star Kempinski both close to the Winter Palace, scene of many		momentous events in Russian history. Take an excursion to Peterhof, the Czar’s holiday palace on the Finnish gulf complete with Grand Cascade complex with fountains and golden sculptures. Day 9-10 Car transfer for the 2 night train journey to Berlin, note this service does not run daily. Day 11-12 Take the overnight train sleeper cabins with private shower/WC from the nearby Berlin Zoo station changing at Brussels giving an early morning arrival in London. Options • St Petersburg upgrade to 5 star Kempinski supp £100 – 200 per person • From St Petersburg travel to Helsinki (tour finishes here) stay for 2 nights at the 3 star Marttahotelli: 2nd class £1,045 – £1,408; 1st class £1,440 – £1,763 or stay in Helsinki at 5 star Kamp for supplement of £100 – £200 per person. • Holiday duration 11 days, return air travel to the UK not included
